- A great new opportunity! -
- Urethanes Technology Chinese edition -

../images/utch597.gif (7k) Urethanes Technology is the magazine for the global polyurethanes market. Its regular Chinese-language edition is published twice yearly, in April and October, in an A3 tabloid format with full colour throughout. It has proved popular with advertisers and readers - the first regular edition exhausted its print run. You can eMail Paul Mitchell for details, or contact him at the address given below.

As with the rest of the world, Chinese companies have a thirst for knowledge about how to improve polyurethane processing and develop new products based on polyurethanes. So if your company offers materials, processing equipment or other services which will help PU processors in China and its neighbouring countries to improve and develop, this is one way you can approach this market. Bookings are now being taken for advertisements in the October 1998 and April 1999 editions, as well as for all future issues. The next conference tie-in will be with PU China 2000.

The People's Republic of China is set to become the leading polyurethanes market in Asia-Pacific - displacing Japan from this position, thanks to rapid growth over the last few years. Much of this growth has been stimulated by the opening of contacts with the outside world and, to this end, Crain Communications Ltd has decided to invest in producing special Chinese language editions of its long-established Urethanes Technology magazine in order to further develop these contacts.

1995 saw the publication of the first-ever Chinese language edition of Urethanes Technology, comprising a mixture of recent news of relevance to business in the Asia-Pacific region in general, and the People's Republic of China in particular. This publication also contained some specially commissioned articles and selected news from the regular international edition of Urethanes Technology magazine. It was issued to coincide with the PU China '95 conference and exhibition - itself the first-ever such major international meeting for the industry in China. April 1998, saw the second of these events - PU China '98 - at which the fourth edition of this popular newspaper was distributed.

The first Chinese edition of Urethanes Technology raised a great deal of interest in the country, and Crain has subsequently invested considerable time and effort in building up contacts and address lists for polyurethane processors across the PRC. This effort has resulted in what is probably the most comprehensive listing of firms active in the business there, as it combines lists from the country's own associations as well as detailed lists built up by suppliers to the country and the extensive contacts made through the PU China '95 event. On-the-spot research from a Chinese specialist employed by Crain added further value to this major research effort - and access to this audience is now available to you and your company.

If your company has plans to develop business with China's polyurethanes industry, we would be interested to hear the details. Simply E-Mail the editor with your information: the more you tell us, the more we will be able to tell our Chinese readers.
