The currency turmoil in the Asia-Pacific region has now subsided, and the various economies are now adjusting themselves to their new, devalued worlds and new financial stringencies.
But what is the likely impact of this for the rest of the world?
For several years this region has been the world's powerhouse for growth, especially in the use of polyurethanes. Not surprisingly, the massive changes are impacting all industrial sectors and, especially, consumer markets - with a consequent major impact on the polyurethanes sector.
How serious is the impact? and how long will it be before recovery begins? These are just two of the questions we will be trying to answer in our look at the business.
